Directions

It takes 50-60 minutes by subway to get from St. Paul’s to Terrace on the Park, including some walking time at both ends.

Subway directions from St. Paul to Terrace on the Park:

Walk 1 block east from the church to the 59th Street-Columbus Circle subway station. Take the South Ferry-bound 1 train (or any downtown-bound train) and get off at Times Square-42nd Street. From there, take the Flushing-bound 7 train. Get off at 111th Street.

Terrace on the Park is visible looking south from the train platform. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk south down 111th Street, along the edge of Flushing Meadows Park. The entrance gate is at the southern end of the parking lot.

Driving:

Driving time is estimated at 45 minutes, but may take longer depending on traffic conditions. Estimated taxi fare is $40 plus tip; Lyft and Juno may be somewhat cheaper. Cab-sharing is encouraged! General Transportation

Planes: New York City is served by three airports: LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy (JFK), and Newark (EWR). LaGuardia is the closest to the hotel and reception venue for our wedding, but probably the least pleasant.

Trains: Amtrak trains arrive in New York at Penn Station in Manhattan. There will be extra congestion and schedule changes this summer due to track repair work in the station.

Automobiles: Taxis and ride-hailing services are plentiful at all times. We strongly discourage bringing or renting a car, due to the city’s heavy traffic and expensive parking.

If you need parking near the church, click here for prices and availability. Parking is free at Terrace on the Park.

Subways and buses: Often, the subway is faster than driving – especially in Manhattan. The subways run 24/7 and cost $2.75 per person per ride. Go to www.mta.info for information and maps. The transit system is also integrated into Google Maps for easy navigation. Children less than 44 inches tall ride for free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Note that subway cars are air-conditioned but the stations are not.

Elevators: The church and reception venue are accessible via elevator from street level. For the subway system, you can check elevator status at specific stations here.

Registry

We would like our guests not to buy us anything.

Instead of purchasing a gift, we would love for you to write us a letter. Tell us about your life and where you are right now. Share your advice, your favorite recipes, life hacks, pro tips, memories of one or both of us – anything you would like us to know as we begin our married lives.

Alternatively or additionally, we would be honored if you would donate to a good cause on our behalf, whether it’s a national organization or a local charity in your hometown. Here are a few suggestions:

Finally, if neither of those options appeals to you, then we invite you to contribute to our Honeymoon Fund or Piano Fund at Zola.
